WILLTEC is an open cell Melamine foam, distributed under the SONEX name, which is used for noise attenuation. WILLTEC can be easily shaped, formed, and installed around existing equipment to assist with noise attenuation. Melamine foam will particulate if rubbed. Recommended application is within an enclosed Nomex Pouch. Additionally, WILLTEC is Class 1 rated for fire spreading and smoke density.

Containing Acoustic Material:
Nomex®
Nomex - click to enlarge Nomex is a fabric material used primarily to encase materials such as sound absorbing foams. There are several acceptable nomex fabrics that are acceptable. Some nomex fabric weaves are porous enough to allow for noise to penetrate into and be absorbed by the foam while encapsulating any particulates that may shed from the foam.
