Flight Crew Integration (FCI)

The Flight Crew Integration (FCI) provides human engineering support to the International Space Station (ISS) program office by assessing hardware designs and verification reports for impacts to operational efficiency, crew productivity, and crew safety.

These analyses are based on ISS human engineering requirements and design standards and are performed during participation in design review proceedings, international partner activities, and ISS Analysis and Integration Team meetings.

As part of this role, the FCI group assesses human engineering requirements and formulates new requirements, when necessary
